Italian Charosis Recipe

This recipe is shared with us by our good friend Rabbi Frank Tamburello. It is adapted from “La cucina nella tradizione ebraica”, by Giuliana Ascoli, From Ancona.

3 cups pitted, chopped dates
1 1/2 cups chopped almonds
1/3 cup raisins, chopped
2 green apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
Juice of 2 large oranges (at least 1/4 cup)
Combine ingredients, cover and refrigerate until serving.
